It is dedicated to the city's hard-working men and women who kept the beer flowing for nearly 100 years; showcasing the Fesenmeier and Little Switzerland brewing companies, with information on other West Virginia breweries as well.

I am a collector, not a seller. Many of the items pictured throughout the site are from my personal collection, but many more of them belong to other individuals. New content added on a regular basis. Craft Beer news headlines updated daily. Bookmark us and check back often.

BIG NEWS!
(Huntington, WV 1/04/10) When I first started this website 5 years ago, my father - Ernie Salvatore, who passed away in July 2009, told me about the time he visited the Fesenmeier Brewing Company as a cub reporter doing his first big feature story for the local paper, long before he became a famous sports writer. The article ran in 1949 in the Herald-Advertiser, which was the combined Sunday edition of the Herald-Dispatch and Huntington Advertiser. Dad and a photographer spent three days at the brewery hanging out with George Linsenmeyer and learning about the Fesenmeier brewing process, as well as enjoying many glasses of their product. Upon hearing this from Dad, I immediately set about tracking the article down. I am sad to say that I had no luck while pop was still alive. But he must have guided me to it from above, because this past weekend I located a decent photocopy of the article while going through some of his files. This after only ten minutes of looking! At some point very soon I will be purchasing a good local American Pilsner, and will hoist a few while painstakingly transcribing the piece word-for-word into digital format so that it can be presented here. Stay tuned! Incidentally, if you click the link and watch the video, there is at least one small error. At 1:34 they show a picture purporting to be Dad's parents. Actually, they are my mother's parents! My Dad's parents are in the first picture at 1:29.
